Also within the resort is the Jack Nicklaus Alhama signature championship golf course with fantastic practice facilities, a driving range, clubhouse with pro shop, buggy and club hire and its own snack bar with wonderful views. For sports enthusiasts there are tennis, paddle, basketball and 5 a side courts located at the Condado Club between Jardine 5 & 7.

Condado de Alhama is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding areas of the Costa Calida (warm coast) and sample the fantastic local foods and wine. With the 250 kms of coastline there is always another sandy cove to find, Mazarron is a 15/20 minute drive away and has miles of wonderful unspoilt beaches. There is also a marina at Puerto de Mazarron with many superb seafront bars and restaurants, some of course specializing in sea foods.

From the traditional Spanish town of Alhama, a short drive away, you will find the gateway to the Sierra Espuña Nature Park where you can enjoy fabulous walks, rock-climbing and cycling. There are also several local markets in the area which are very popular with the locals and tourists alike:- Sunday in Puerto de Mazarrón, Tuesday in Alhama de Murcia, Wednesday in Totana, Thursday in San Javier and Saturdays in Mazarrón and Fuente Alamo. The bright lights of Murcia city with its historic cathedral, museums, waterpark, zoo and the retail park at Nueva Condomina are around 40 minutes drive away. Nearest airports include Corvera (30mins), Alicante (1h15mins), Almeria (1h45mins)
