The traditional Spanish town of Alhama de Murcia is just a short drive away from where you can access the Sierra Espuña Nature Park with fabulous walks, rock-climbing and cycling trails. There are also several local markets in the area which are very popular with the locals and tourists alike:- Sunday in Puerto de Mazarrón, Tuesday in Alhama de Murcia, Wednesday in Totana, Thursday in San Javier and Saturdays in Mazarrón and Fuente Alamo.

The blue flag beaches of Bolnuevo, Perchelles and La Azohia are approximately a 25 minute drive, and the seaside town of Puerto de Mazarrón, with its marina, beaches, bars and restaurants is only 25 minutes away. There is also a large retail shopping park here with all the major supermarkets in one place including Mercadona, Lidl, Aldi and even Tesco trading as the Food Co.

Condado de Alhama is situated in the South of Spain about 35 minutes drive from Murcia, 25 minutes from the beaches of Mazarron, 90 minutes from Alicante airport and 25 minutes from Corvera (RMU) airport. The regions winters are one of the warmest in Europe, which makes it an excellent destination for a winter sun break.
